After many years operating a successful and growing consumer and industrial petroleum business, Charlie Foster added retail to the existing business, opening Foster’s Grill Store in (year) to ensure his retirement wouldn’t be boring. The original store occupied a 10 X 20 space where Charlie sold and serviced the grills and equipment for his friends and neighbors.
The space, the store and the grilling business have changed tremendously over the last twenty-five plus years. Billy and Susan (Foster) Aaron, the third generation of Fosters now run the family business and the new showroom bears little resemblance to that original tiny space. A more robust operation is now in place, offering a large selection of top-of-the-line grills and accessories, specialty spices, recipe ideas and even cooking demos. What began as a hobby has grown into a flourishing stand alone business operation.
Foster’s Grill Store may have changed, but Charlie Foster’s vision has not. Foster’s foundation has always been exceptional customer service, friendly, knowledgeable staff and a commitment to earning your loyalty and your referral. That is as true today as it was on opening day.
Charlie always said, “the customer is always right” and while that saying often seems clichéd or dated, at Foster’s the sentiment still holds true. As a small specialty retailer, we take pride in our work and in our relationships with our customers.
